Invasion of the Wii

Well, Tuesday we got our Wii!! We have been having non-stop fun ever since it came. Darrin and I put the kids to bed early just so we can play it. Josh LOVES to play it and is getting better every day. He likes to play tennis and golf. And sadly he can almost beat me at golf. Andrew even loves the wii. He woke up this morning and the first thing he said was "games, games, games." He's pretty easy to entertain...you just give him a controller while you play and he thinks he's playing. Needless to say, the wii is definitely changing how we have fun at the Hancock household!

Video of Josh and Andrew

I finally figured out how to post video so this one was taken a while ago right after we had started potty training! Enjoy!

Call off the search!

I'm happy to announce that we found a Wii! WiiTracker.com came through for us, and we found it at Costco.com. Thanks to everyone who's been looking for us. Everyone is welcome to come try it out when it arrives!

Wii Anyone?

As you might have read in a previous post...we fell in love with the Nintendo Wii on our trip to Utah. I think it is SO fun! It's very out of character for me to want something like this, but once you play it you'll know why! Oddly enough, I had to talk Darrin into getting one but now he's on board too! Now that we really want one we can't find one to save our life!! We check at Fred Meyer and Target frequently, call Toys R Us daily and check online (at Wiitracker.com they actually track for you which online places have them in stock or not...and usually they don't. If they do it's only for like 20 minutes), and now we have all our friends on the look out for them also. I have to admit it's getting kind of embarrassing...I've never been this obsessed with anything like this before=). Anyway, if you see a Wii...call us! And I figured out how to make polls on blogger so you can tell us where you most recently saw one!

Car Wash

The other day we did the 'all American thing' and washed the car by hand. We thought since we actually have a house we should do stuff like that now. Josh had fun spraying the car down with the hose...then he decided that daddy's white car was dirty too, so he starting spraying it down...the only problem with that was it was still in the garage. Needless to say, he got suspended from that job very quickly. Andrew loved washing the car with soap and did a great job! They were all so proud after they were done!

If you chance to meet a frown?

If you chance to meet a frown, do not let it stay.
Quickly turn it upside down and smile that frown away.

Backyard Bliss

I guess we brought the heat with us to Oregon because now it's in the 100's here too. We bought a swimming pool yesterday so the kids could swim in the backyard. Josh pretended to be a dolphin the whole time, and Andrew kept dumping cup fulls of water onto the grass. The grass is very green around the pool now. Anyway~here are the pics!

Lawn Update

Well, we get back from our vacation and what's the first thing we have to do?? Buy a lawn mower of course!! Darrin was soooo excited to have his own mower and mow his own lawn. I swear he mowed it three times last night and then twice tonight. It's so cute to watch him be so proud of his lawn! the new mower

Look at him go! It takes a total of 5.5 minutes to mow our whole lawn. Josh took part as well!

Vacation to Utah

Well, we just got back from our trip to Utah. It was jam packed with fun and family. We were able to spend time with Darrin's WHOLE family as well as my whole family. The kids had lots of fun getting to know all of their cousins, aunts, and uncles. Here are some of the fun things we did...
On Tuesday we went to Lagoon. The kids absolutely loved the rides. Here they are on the cars and boats...those were their favorites.
On the 4th of July, Tooele has a parade and there is a 3K before the parade starts. Darrin was brave enough to run it. He did a great job and didn't come in last!
Friday afternoon we spent at Raging Waters with my family. It was lots of fun! It was a great way to spend a day with temperatures in the 100's.
Some other things we did were go to Nate and Zach's eagle court of honor, see the movie Ratatouille, play lots of games, fell in the love with the Wii, ate lots of food, went bowling, Darrin played lots of golf and Josh enjoyed DDR...dance dance revolution! We are so grateful for our wonderful families and all the love and support they give us. Thanks everyone for the memories!
