Broken or just bruised??

Yesterday Darrin and boys were playing ball in the house, and somehow Andrew fell into the wall landing on his nose. His nose on the right side next to his eye is black, blue, and swollen. (If you click on the pictures you can see it better...) Can kids this young break their nose? I didn't really think they could, so I didn't take him to the doctor today. But I'm more worried about it now, and I think I'll at least call the advice nurse tomorrow. What do you guys think?

My new favorite thing

Darrin got this cansolidator for me awhile ago, and I finally got around to putting it together and actually using it. It's my new favorite invention! You put the cans in the top, and then they roll out the bottom. If you need a can of green beans you take the one on the bottom to insure that you're always using the oldest one first. I put the cansolidator on one of the shelves in our garage with our other food storage, and now I have room in my cupboards of tons of other stuff. One other features that I like is you can adjust the rows to the size of the can you are putting in there! Anyway, just thought I'd share! We bought this at Costco by the way!

Pregnancy Update

Well, it's been awhile since I've documented my pregnancy so here ya go! Today I'm 33 weeks pregnant. I went to the doctor on Friday and found out I've only gained 20 pounds! I was most excited about that, and then it has fueled my disregard for eating healthy! Also, at the doctor's office, the doctor confirmed my suspicions that they baby is breech. For the last little while I've felt a hard, round body part right below my ribs...but I wasn't sure if it was his head or bum. Well, I had the doctor feel it, and she said it's definitely his head. She said there is time for him to turn, but if he hasn't turned by 36 weeks, we'll talk about turning him. Anyway, I'm a little nervous about the whole thing because Josh was breech, and I had him by c-section. I really don't want another c-section, but what can you do?? What are the odds this would happen to someone twice?

Easter

We had a wonderful Easter weekend! Saturday we dyed our Easter eggs and had our Easter egg hunt. Sunday we focused on the atonement and resurrection of our Savior which impacts our daily lives and for which we are most grateful for.
How to dye Easter eggs:
put your eggs in the dye....
check every once in a while to see if they are at the desired color....
admire your work...
and lastly, add more stickers!!!
This year the weather was actually nice enough to have our Easter egg hunt outside!

Happy Easter everyone!!

Josh's 4th Birthday!

Today was Josh's birthday, but it seems like the festivities have been going all weekend! Saturday we took the kids to "Horton Hears a Who." I think they had lots of fun....I know they enjoyed the popcorn and candy at least! Sunday we had the "Oregon Hancocks" over for a Turkey dinner and cake. When Josh is around his cousins he turns into a different person...he's silly and tries to make them laugh! It's kind of funny to watch! Needless to say he had tons of fun playing with them!! Anyway, this morning Josh woke and immediately wanted to open his presents. Darrin and I were quite proud of ourselves this year for not going overboard with the presents...which we have done in every other previous year=). For dinner we went to P.F. Changs...one of Josh's favorite restaurants, and then had some friends over for more cake and ice cream! What a weekend it has been! Happy birthday Josh!! Cake #1...to take the pressure of cake decorating off of us as parents, we decided to let him decorate his own cake! It worked out really well!

Opening presents this morning; Some things he got were sea animals, a transformer, stomp rocket, and the game Perfection.
Cake #2
Happy St. Patrick's Day!!

Driving and Sleeping in Luxury

Well, we had a big day on Saturday. We got our king size bed, and we bought a mini van!! Our bed is heavenly to sleep on. It is just what this women, who is 8 months pregnant, needs to get a peaceful nights sleep! When Darrin rolls over, I don't even know he moving!! It's just wonderful!
Anyway, the van is another story....we went Saturday night to JUST test drive vans and get a feel for what kind we wanted to buy. We looked at what one dealership had, and we weren't too impressed...but then they pulled another van out from the back that had just finished getting detailed. It was sooo pretty...I fell in love with it right away! We took it for a drive and loved it even more. So we came back to the dealership, and they wanted us to buy it right away....we, remember, hadn't come prepared to BUY a van, we were JUST test driving vans. Anyway, they worked with us, and we worked with them on the price. In the end, we came home with a new van! We love and the kids love it more! They love to go places and even love just playing in it! The van is a top of the line 2004 Honda Odyssey with 42, 000 miles. Check out the pics!

Pizza Field Trip

As many of you know, Josh is involved in a preschool co-op. Every Thursday all the kids and moms go on a field trip that relates to that weeks lesson. This past Thursday we went to a local pizza place. They let us come to the back of the restaurant where they make all the pizza, and they let the kids make their own pizzas. Josh and Andrew had sooo much fun!! Josh, of course, just wanted cheese, but Andrew was more daring and put pepperoni, sausage, olives, and mushrooms. Anyway, here are some of the pictures we took!

The Clean Up

One night this week I sent the boys upstairs to play while I made dinner. From the kitchen it sounded like they were playing well and having fun,...and they were doing just that!! I guess if this kept them busy so I could make dinner in peace than it was worth it! Take a look....

Trip to Oklahoma

Well, we survived our trip to Oklahoma!! The boys and I flew out on Wed, Feb. 27. I was very worried about how the kids would do flying that far without Darrin, but they did fabulous!! I was very blessed. No one had any melt downs and everyone was pretty happy the whole time. We did lots of fun things while we were visiting. Here are some pictures of things we did....On Friday we went to Woolaroc with Grandma, Grandpa, and Jessica (good friend from home) and her kids. The weather was beautiful and the kids had tons of fun! There were lots of animals to see, a playground, and the museum. The kids got a crash course on Indians, cowboys, and buffalo!

Friday afternoon Grandpa took the boys to the park!

That night we had ice cream at our favorite ice cream restaurant, Braums.
Saturday night Darrin flew in. The kids were sure glad to see him!

Monday we went bowling,
read stories with Grandpa,
played with Grandma's exercise ball,
and ate at our favorite steakhouse, Montana Mikes.

On Sunday we got to witness a special event: my dad was called to be the bishop in his ward. We, of course, planned our trip without any idea that this was going to happen and then were pleasantly surprised to find out we happened to be there for the occasion. It was a special experience, and we know the Lord will help him with this overwhelming calling.

To close, here's a video of Andrew and his latest obsession. It's pretty funny!
Thanks mom and dad for a wonderful visit!
