Here are the out takes for the Rockii movie we made. They are kind of fun to watch. I especially like the one with the egg.

Luke-2 1/2 Months Old
Luke is now 2 1/2 months old and growing like a weed. We all love him very much and are so blessed to have him in our family. Here are some some things we love about him...
*Luke is still a predictable baby who thrives on a schedule, but is easy going and flexible at the same time. He goes to bed about 9-9:30pm and wakes up to eat about 5am. Then he goes back to sleep until about 8am. He plays for about an hour and then goes back to sleep for a morning nap. He wakes up and plays for 2 hours and then back down for an afternoon nap. He takes one more quick nap around dinner time and then plays until bed. He takes all his naps in the swing and sleeps in his crib (still in our room) at night.
*Luke doesn't like to be held all the time. He likes to lay down on the floor and play. He loves to kick his legs and move his arms up and down. He loves watching his older brothers and loves it when they play with him...but also likes his alone time as well. Too much stimulation makes him fussy.
*Luke is a social baby who loves to smile, laugh, and coo. He's most happy right after he wakes up in the morning or from a good nap. He's very ticklish, especially right under his neck.
*At his 2 month doctor appointment he was 14 pounds and 24 1/2 inches long...both in the 95th percentile!
Here's a video of Luke laughing...music to his mother's ears!!

Hancocok Family Reunion-Friday
This morning the boys went golfing. I'm not sure, but Dave probably won. They got back just in time for date night with all the siblings and their spouses. The older cousins baby-sat the younger ones. Thanks Kelsey! We went to The Roof which is a restaurant at the top of the Joseph Smith Memorial building. The food is always super yummy and the atmosphere is wonderful!

Hancock Family Reunion-Thursday
Today has been a pretty laid back day. We mostly recovered from our trip to Lagoon. In the afternoon, some of us girls when to get our nails done. It was great to be away and take a break! That night we had a picnic and then walked to the local park.

Over the course of the reunion Josh fell in love with his older girl cousins. They were so nice to put up with him following them around. Every morning he'd wake up and say "Mom, where's my flip flops? I need to go see my girls at 1211." I'd tell him that it's only 8:00 and his "girls" were still sleeping. This was Josh's first crush, and I always knew he'd go for the older type!

Hancock Family Reunion-Tuesday
Today we took the kids to the Hogle Zoo. We had tons of fun seeing the animals! Our favorite thing was going to the bird show where we saw all different kinds of birds fly right over our heads. After the zoo we ate lunch at Chuck-A-Rama. Yummy!

He REFUSED to get in the picture with his cousins. So see the space above Andrew? That's where Josh will be photoshopped in. Stubborn little boy!
For family home evening on Monday we had a movie night. Each family was required to make a movie and bring it to the reunion. Our movie "Rockii" won best film.

Luke's Blessing Day
Dear Luke,
Today you were given a name and a blessing by your father. It was an extra special day because we were in Utah in your Grandma and Grandpa Hancock's ward. You had almost all of your uncles and both Grandpas in the circle with you. Your daddy blessed you with many wonderful things: to be an example, faithfulness, to make righteous decisions, health, and that you would help serve the Savior. During the blessing you weren't very happy, but you were probably uncomfortable. You were almost 2 months old and barely fit in the white outfit we had for you. After church we had a fabulous lunch at the Hancock's. We had turkey, potatoes, salad, rolls, and cookies. I think there were 48 people there for you. You have a big family that loves you very much.
Love,
Mom
My boys
Everyone at the blessing minus a few
We tried desperately to get a family picture after the blessing. One member of our family in particular was NOT cooperative (ahem, Josh). He was tired and hungry and not about to smile in any way. So after much force, this is the best picture we came up with.

Dinner with the Morris'
Tonight we met up with the Morris side of the family. We all gathered at a church right by Ben's apartment. We had pizza and cookies, played basketball, listened to Josh tell us stories, strolled down memory lane, and caught up on current family affairs. Over all it was a fun evening!

4th of July
Today has been a busy day full of festivities! We started out the day going to the Tooele City 4th of July parade. Before the parade was a 5K which Darrin has been training for months to run...but nothing could have trained him for the altitude difference he experienced. As he ran passed the kids and I, who were sitting along the parade route, his lungs were burning, and he could hardly breathe. Oh-well, he did a great job anyway! Later that afternoon we had the traditional Hancock 4th of July picnic at the church pavilion with KFC and Grandma's potato salad. We all had a great time as Grandpa turned the sprinklers on to cool us off. (Although, my kids were party poopers and refused to get wet.) We traveled to Grantsville to watch the fireworks. Josh loved them, and Andrew hated them. He hid his head and wouldn't look at them the entire time. We realized we should have prepared him better for what they were going to be like. Oh-well, hopefully he's not scared for life! Over all it was a fabulous 4th of July. We are so blessed to live in the country, and we're so grateful for everything it means to us.
