My little glow worm

Luke loves to be swaddled! When it's time for him to go to bed or take a nap, we wrap him up, give him his binky, lay him down, and he falls asleep on his own. Well, the other day, he rolled over. I personally didn't see it and neither did the kids, but he was on the floor playing, and I walked away for a couple minutes, and when I came back he was on his tummy. So I know he can do it, although he hasn't done it since... Anyway, I feel like it's time to stop the swaddling. When he isn't swaddled his arms jerk, and he wakes himself up so I'm not sure what to do! Any suggestions??

Pictures!

I finally got some good pictures with all 3 kids together! The last one is a cute picture of Luke.

Weak Stomach

On Sunday, Andrew was hungry and needed a snack. So Darrin gave him some slices of cheese. Andrew consequently shoved it ALL into his mouth and went about his business. A few minutes later Darrin found a bug in the bathroom (in the downstairs bathroom...which is so small that you can barely turn around...). As the boys were examining the bug, Andrew started choking on all the cheese that was in his mouth and as a result, he threw up a little bit. Josh who can't handle seeing and smelling things like that proceeded to throw up 5 times. So poor Darrin was stuck in this tiny bathroom with two kids throwing up. It was pretty funny!! And poor Josh, I know he's going to be the kid in the 3rd grade who watches a classmate throw up, and then he will too! He's thrown up before just smelling Andrew's poopy diaper! Poor guy!

Hola

Josh and I had a conversation today that went something like this:

Me: "Josh you need to finish your bowl of cereal before you can have anything else for breakfast."

Josh (in a rather firm voice): "NO"

Me: "Excuse me, did you just tell me 'no'?"

Josh: "Mom, don't you know, no is the Spanish word for yes!"

(I bet it is when your about to get in trouble for telling your mom 'no'!!)

Kicking Myself

Every time I have a baby I vow to myself that I will give him a bottle once a week to keep him used to it, so if I ever need to leave him with someone else he will do fine with it. I said the same thing when Luke was born and thought I'd actually have a pretty good chance at doing it because I had mutual every Wednesday night. Then Darrin was called to be the EQ president, and I was released. Luke hadn't had a bottle in about a month or so...and then Saturday I went to the grocery store, and I told Darrin just to give him a bottle when he woke up...Halfway through the grocery store I get the dreaded call...you know the one with the baby crying and screaming in the background?? Well, it'd happened again...Luke refused the bottle. We, of course, will continue to offer it to him and hope he gets used to it, but until then, Luke and I are inseparable.

So you think you can dance

Josh loves the show 'So You Think You Can Dance,' and thinks it's soooo cool that there is dancer on the show with his same name. So last night he showed us how he can dance like Joshua! Sorry the video is kind of long...feel free to watch until you get the idea. I love how serious he is about the whole thing, and of course we all know where Josh gets his skills from....and if you don't remember, take a look at this!

He was dancing again today and after his first dance he said, "Now I'm going to be Twitch" (who is another contestant on the show), and he continued dancing. I tried dancing with him, but he told me that I was Cat Deeley, and she doesn't dance, she just watches...

Can I say obsessed?? I can understand how he knows Joshua and Twitch's names...but Cat Deeley?? how does he know who that is??

Fun Friday

This week we haven't really done anything fun. Feeling sorry for the kids, I found a recipe for flubber on the Internet. We bought all the stuff and tried it out! It was easy to make, and the kids thought it was fabulous! Yeah for Fridays!
