March 21-25 was spring break…although with our unseasonably cold weather, it should have been called winter break part II.
My Mom came into town to visit for the first several days.
I really had a bug to treat my windows to some color, so Monday we went shopping and bought the goods.
Tuesday we spent all day putting them up….we did three windows and yes, it took us all day.
Here’s the living room valance. We also did valances in my room and the boy’s room.
Wednesday we took the kids to Red Robin for lunch and then went bowling.
They l.o.v.e. bowling and have been begging to go, so they were in heaven!
I won. It was awesome. a whole 109 pins. And Luke beat Andrew, which I thought was funny…to Andrew not so much.
And if you haven’t heard and live in the area, Park Lanes is doing an awesome summer bowling program for kids. Check it out here. We’re doing it. So sign up and come with us
That about wrapped up my mom’s stay here. We miss her and her willingness to do the dishes. We had a system. I cooked, and she cleaned up. It was perfect! And the kids miss her tents and pretend campfires!
Thursday we went to the airport, and then all the kids had playdates, and I got a couple hours to myself. It was weird. Then the kids went to play with their cousins, and I went to the temple to volunteer in the kitchen. It was hard work, but rewarding fun! If you get the chance, you should do it.
Friday we cleaned all day and then rewarded ourselves by going to Pump It Up with friends. The kids had a blast and were worn out by the end.
That was our spring break!
Memories made. Mission accomplished.
