6/23—The World Cup has been on, and it has been running our life! Darrin and the kids watch it whenever they can. It doesn’t make it easy to get much packing help around here!
And why not eat tortillas and watch it at the same time.
The neighbors set up the slip and slide on their tiny yard. It was funny and scary at the same to time to see these big kids not wipe out on the cement at the end of the slide. They all had fun regardless!
6/24—Ella’s birthday. My baby is 2. Sad.
She had a great day filled with presents and the usual spoiling…suckers for breakfast.
One of her presents was a princess dress. It was fitting for the day.
We went to a family fav for dinner. Our kids call it circle grill.
This picture says a lot about each of our kids. lol.
And finally after an evening of playing outside at 10pm we got around to eating cake…Olaf cake that is.
6/25—Darrin’s work family picnic. The kids ate tons of cotton candy, snow cones and cookies.
6/26—We signed the papers for our house. One of us looks more happy then the other. lol. Perhaps it’s because he’s missing the USA World Cup game.
And on the way home we lived on the edge. 0 miles left to go on the gas tank.
Ever since I went to Texas for several days, Ella has been a daddy’s girl. She will often cry for him while he’s at work…like on this particular day.
6/27—Early morning snuggles!
Luke learned how to ride a two wheeler! Darrin was gone for the evening. Laurie took off the training wheels. I ran behind him one length of the street and then he got it! Way to go buddy!
And Ella was content to watch and eat Otter Pops.
Now all the little boys in the neighborhood ride all over the place!
6/28—Had BBQ with the neighbors. So lucky to have great neighbors! And so glad they are still going to be close by!
6/30—We got keys to our new house!!!! We waited around all morning for the call and finally about 3pm we got it. We started moving the kitchen stuff over right away in Laurie’s truck. My goal was the get it all put away ASAP.
Last night in our house :(
7/1—Finally moving day!! So glad that we hired big strong guys to move all the heavy stuff. Especially since it was 95 degrees outside.
That night friends and family helped us move the rest of the stuff. We had pizza and cold drinks for everyone!
7/2—We finished up all the loose ends at the house and cleaned it all. The neighbor kids helped as well :) We were blessed to have 3 Laurels and Jenae come over to help with the finally cleaning that night.
Last picture in front of the house. I was super emotional and cried buckets as I went over about 10pm to take one last look and say goodbye. I walked through every room and thought of all the memories in that house. It’s been a great house.
7/4—Happy 4th of July!! We got up and went to the local parade downtown. The kids got soooo much candy I couldn’t even believe it. Thanks to the Smith’s who saved us a spot!
We worked all day to get ready to leave for UT the next day. It was tricky cause most things were still in boxes.
We took a break to BBQ with our neighbors and play at the park.
Then we hooked back up with the Smiths and did fireworks in their cul-da-sac. Ella wasn’t a fan at first, but warmed up to them.
Happy 4th! So blessed to live in this free country.
And whew! what a busy couple of weeks!
