Andrew’s B-day!

Today was Andrew’s birthday!

The festivities started last night (Sunday) when the cousins came over for dinner and cake.

This was his cake.  Darrin drew the soccer ball and Andrew wrote his name.

Andrew hates having his picture taken so Jason helped him smile for the camera  lol.

IMG_7806

We were super nice parents and let him open most of his presents while his cousins were over.  The one he didn’t open was the one we moved with and couldn’t find.  Luckily we found it after he went to bed, so he had one to open this morning!

Since Andrew’s birthday was on a Monday and he got MarioKart8, we bent the rules and let them play the Wii.  It was the first thing they did when they walked in the door after school!

IMG_7841

The birthday boy also worked on his new Lego set.

IMG_7844

Josh made this sign for him.  I have no idea if it’s accurate or not.

IMG_7845

For his birthday dinner we took the family to BJs.

IMG_7848

Andrew ordered ribs.  I guess he’s a true man now.  lol.

And as a birthday surprise the waiter put a candle in his pizookie.

Happy Birthday Andrew!  We love your fun personality and the light you are in our family!  XOXOXOXO

Wolf Walk, fruit flies, and face plant

Whew. Daily blog fail.  Excuse me while I catch up :)  This is for you Danielle and now it’s your turn.

9/16—Ella went to her educational playgroup (lol), and I went to run errands by myself.  Boy, it was pretty nice!  I found lots of Hello Kitty stuff in the dollar section for a certain someone.  IMG_7695

All alone.  Not sure whether to jump for joy or cry.

IMG_7696

Ella loves it when the boys come home from school.  She’ll often run as fast as she can to greet them with a big hug.  It’s pretty cute.

IMG_7697 IMG_7699

9/17—Amy and I started our volunteering swap!  I love being in the school.  And Ella loves playing with Katie, so it’s a win win!

IMG_7703 IMG_7704

We played at the park after school.  Josh has been practicing his photo bombing skills. lol.

IMG_7708

Friends at the park are the best.   IMG_7713  Luke loves reading these books before bed.  IMG_7715

Luke made this cute picture of David from the book David goes to School.  It makes me smile.

IMG_7716 9/18—Ella and I had to run to Costco to pick up a few things.  She had to bring her baby and sunglasses.  She’s such a funny girl with a great big personality! IMG_7721

9/20—The Wolf Walk!  I spent the whole day at the school running the event with my good friend, Jenae.  It was a blast and everything went great despite how hot it was!

IMG_7725 IMG_7726 IMG_7727

Later after a rest and lots of cold water, we headed to the ward variety show.

IMG_7731

It was a great evening with lots of entertaining acts!

IMG_7734

The missionaries even performed.

IMG_7736

And there was even a “Let it Go” sing a long.  Ella loved that part.

IMG_7743

9/20—Soccer Saturday!  Ella’s getting pretty good at carrying her chair, and she insists on it.

IMG_7747 IMG_7748

This kick of Josh’s ended in a goal.  Go Josh!

IMG_7751

It was HOT!  It’s the middle of September…it should never be this hot this late in the year!  I know I complain a lot about it, but it’s been a hot summer!  I’m ready for the cool weather!

IMG_7754

These two opted to watch one soccer game undercover.   It was a good choice.

IMG_7752

And as a bonus they got to watch part of the air show!

IMG_7753 We came home and watched this childhood classic (The Chipmunk Adventure).  It brought back so many memories.

IMG_7755

9/21—Our home teacher, Bro. McReynolds, brings the kids brownies in the month of their birthday.  Andrew got his!  He was super excited and so were his brothers :)

IMG_7759

9/22—Josh has been mowing a neighbors lawn while their house is for sale.  He got paid the other day.  He was stoked.

IMG_7761

9/23—The educational playgroup was at our house!  These 5 girls are the cutest.  We studied the letter C which included painting cupcakes, making cookies with play dough, reading books about cats and colors, and eating cheese and cupcakes aka muffins.  lol.

IMG_7763

I got our outfits figured out for family pictures!  Whew.

IMG_7765

Are fruit flies going crazy at your house???  They are at mine!  I set this trap and have been catching quite a few.  There’s at least 30 flies in there now!  Gross.

IMG_7767

9/24—Ella wore this most of the day.  She even wore it to pack meeting.

IMG_7769

Andrew playing a cooperation game at pack meeting.

IMG_7770

And because I forced grumpy Ella to take a nap at 3pm, she was up until about 11pm.  She was wired and pretty fun to hang out with…but I won’t be doing that again anytime soon.  A late nap is NEVER worth it!

IMG_7776

9/25—Family pictures.  Ella face planted on the sidewalk about an hour before we were supposed to meet the photographer.  I just had to shake my head and laugh because such is life!  Between that and the rain, I’m super curious to see how the pictures turned out!

IMG_7781

We played at the park after our pictures.  The kids were wet and cold, but had fun playing on the playground all by themselves.

IMG_7784

9/26--And this is what her nose looked like the next day.

IMG_7790

9/27—Another Saturday filled with soccer.  And this is how Ella felt about it.  She’s usually so worn out by the end of the 3rd game.  She’s either going to love soccer and want to play it when she’s older or despise it.  Can’t wait to see which way it goes!

IMG_7801

Okay.  Hoping to resume daily blogging.  Wish me luck :)

Taquitos with ketchup

September 15—I woke up to the weatherman saying it would be the last 90* day of the year.  He better be right cause I’m done with the heat.  It’s September in OR for Pete's sake!

 IMG_7680

I made these last night and have been eating them all day.  Bad, I know.  But soooo yummy.

IMG_7675

Ella is still transitioning to her life with no binky.  When she’s desperate she’ll use the pretend one that’s supposed to be for her baby dolls lol.

IMG_7682

I worked most of the morning on the garage.  The goal was to get the shelves where we wanted them and then switch which side the van is on.  Goals accomplished.  Next goal is get Darrin’s car in there!

IMG_7701

We went to the grocery store.  She had to bring her purse.

IMG_7685

Today was laundry day.  I did a total of 8 loads over the course of the day.

Zack started coming to our house before/after school a couple times a week again.  It was so hot after school, we had to have a popsicle to cool off.

IMG_7686

We went to the park.  The big boys played soccer and the littler kids hunted for bugs.

IMG_7689 IMG_7691 IMG_7692 IMG_7693

I made homemade taquitos for dinner.  Luke ate 3 of them with ketchup.  lol  He’s sooo picky sometimes, but he loves taquitos and salsa with chips; both which surprise me.
