12/24--Christmas Eve night we gathered at Chad and Julie’s house for a yummy dinner. We enjoyed ham, baked potatoes, salad, sweet potatoes, rolls and Jello.
We read the nativity story and sang Christmas songs. We shared our testimonies and thoughts about why Jesus Christ is The Gift in our lives. It was a special time.
Then all the kids unwrapped their traditional pajamas from Grandma and Grandpa Hancock. Inside each package was a stuffed snowball that changes colors. The kids had fun having a snowball fight with those.
The kids played the candy bar game.
With a little coaxing from Luke, Trevor traded him for the candy he REALLY, REALLY wanted. Thanks for being a good sport Trevor!! You made this little boy very happy!
We had dessert and sang Happy Birthday to Baby Jesus and then headed home for wait for Santa.
12/25—Josh woke us up the next morning at 6:35am. We finally got up about 7:15 and woke up Ella so the kids could go downstairs. Ella was super excited about her kitchen! The boys helped her check it out
as well as the stuff in her stocking.
After opening lots of presents and making a sufficient Christmas morning mess, we ate scrambled eggs and cinnamon rolls for breakfast. The rest of the day was spent playing together and relaxing.
Later that night we had Terry and Laurie and family over for a turkey dinner and a game of Acquire.
It was a great day!! Merry Christmas everyone!
