I’m skipping a week of our vacation, but no worries, I’ll come back to it.
After the Hancock Reunion we headed down south to visit a couple National Parks: Bryce Canyon and Zion National Parks.
We stayed in a cabin just outside of Zion’s where we saw all kinds of Buffalo roaming around…it felt like home! I didn’t know they had Buffalo in Utah
Monday, the 18th, we woke up and drove the 2 hour drive to Bryce Canyon.
We started our hike by zig zagging down into the canyon.
Once we got down we stopped for lunch. The kids were pretty whiny at this point, but Darrin gave them a pep talk and got everyone pumped up!
The boys loved all the sticks lying around and had to be carrying one at all times. They usually looked like guns.
At one point Andrew was carrying 3 of them.
These little chipmunks were everywhere. The boys were fascinated with them!
We ended up hiking about 3 miles. It was a hard climb out of the canyon, but we were proud of ourselves once we were done.
The weather was warm but not too hot…probably in the low 80’s.
Overall, a great day with beautiful surroundings!
