Valentine's, Beach House, and Minions

2/4--Basketball continues!  The team consisted of 3rd and 4th graders...Andrew obviously had a height advantage in this case. lol.

2/8--Luke was selected to be the student of the week and as part of his responsibilities he had to find something to fill up the estimation jar.  Since it was close to valentine's day, he chose conversation hearts.  There was 525 in there!

For Family Home Evening we did the traditional compliment hearts.  Some of these ones cracked me up!

2/10--Luke also worked very hard on his valentine's box.  It was definitely a busy week for this 2nd grader!

2/11--This Infant Development BYU class was kicking my bootie.  It was time to buckle down and get it done.  While Ella was at preschool I headed to the library to force myself to work on it.  It is harder to get distracted at the library!

2/12--I helped in Luke's class for his valentine's day party!  He was so excited to have his picture taken. lol.

2/13--For the long weekend of President's Day we got a beach house with Chad and Julie.  It's always so nice to get away from normal life especially with cousins.

I brought these Kapla Blocks with us on a whim in hopes to entertain the kids.  Boy did it work!  They played with them a ton.  They would play a game where one person would call out an object and the other kids had to make their version of that object.  The person who named the object would judge who did the best job.  It was pretty entertaining!

2/14--Sunday we got up and went to church.  We spent the rest of the day hanging out as a family.

Spending time in the hot tub!

We walked down to the beach, but it was so stormy, we only stayed for about 10 minutes!  When you go to the beach in the winter, it's better to watch it out the window rather than in person.

More blocks!

And since it was valentine's day, we had the obligatory fondue for dessert.
CHOCOLATE=YUM

2/15--We drove over to a different beach to do a little tide pooling.  It was still cold and super windy, but what do you expect in February!

And we couldn't leave the area without hitting up our favorite old fashioned park!  The kids had fun practicing their American Ninja Warrior skills.

2/20--We met as a Relief Society early at the temple to do a session.  The fog was so mysterious on the way there, I had to (safely) take a picture.  lol.

Being at the temple first thing on a Saturday morning starts the day off right!  Starting last September I made a goal to go to the temple once a month.  Diligently going has strengthened my testimony of God's plan and his love for each of us.

When I got home, we went downtown were we got to watch the Harlem Globetrotters.  It was a pretty fun show to watch!  So grateful we get tickets through Darrin's work to do so many fun things.

2/21--Found this on the table today!  She wrote her name all by herself!

Ella loves to have her princesses go swimming.

So fun to have flowers coming up in February!  Can't wait for spring!

2/24--Was the cub scout blue and gold banquet!  The theme was minions.  We were supposed to bring a center piece to decorate the table...Luke's valentine box worked perfectly!

The scouts played a balloon popping game, and Ella was not a fan of the loud sounds!

2/26--Luke went to hang out with his buddies at Zack's mom's school.  This pictures totally cracked me up!  So much personality from these 3 little boys!
