Potty Talk

Exciting news in the potty department! Josh was going potty last night while I was putting Andrew to bed. I came back downstairs, and he excitedly announced to me that he had gone poop all by himself!! I was sooo excited for him!! Then the same thing happened again this morning! This is big news for us! I'm beginning to see a light at the end of the potty training tunnel!

Brotherly Fun

Soccer goal: $25; Darrin's joy as he watches them play: priceless

Ever since we finished the yard Darrin has wanted to get a soccer goal for his boys. Most of you know that Darrin LOVES soccer and can't wait to watch his kids play! So we finally found a goal perfect for our yard. The boys love it and wake up every morning eager to play. We even dug out some old hand-me-down cleats that fit Josh now. He feels like a real soccer player wearing them. It's so cute to watch Darrin teach the boys to kick and dribble. He even sets the cones up and makes them do drills. They love every minute of it!!

Yum Yum

We had corn on the cob for dinner tonight, and Andrew had a ball eating it! He looked so cute eating this huge piece of corn, and he was so proud of himself when he was all done!

Zoo

Enjoying a mid morning snack!

Yesterday we took the kids to the zoo. Since the kids have never ridden the MAX (the light rail in Portland) we thought this would be a good opportunity to ride it with them. We're pretty sure they had more fun on the MAX then at the zoo. After about 30 minutes at the zoo, Josh was asking to get back on the train. We had great time at the zoo. The weather was in the 70's and the sun was shining! The kid's favorite animal was the elephants. Josh has been pretending to be one ever since!

Lost Animals

The other day we found these animals at our house, and we have no idea who they belong to. We've had lots of different kids at our house lately, so they could belong to anyone. If you know who they belong to, let us know!

Underwear

This post goes out to all those who think kids shouldn't be allowed to run around in their underwear=).
We bought Josh some new underwear at Costco the other day, and when we came home he had to try on every pair. Andrew felt left out so he decided to try some as well.

Potty update...Josh is doing really well going potty. He usually goes in and goes all by himself. He's also very good at putting his underwear and pants back on. He wears underwear all the time and hasn't had an accident for awhile. He's still working on #2 but has almost gotten the hang of it.

Berry Picking

Today we went berry picking. The kids loved it!! Although, I found that only taking kids that know their colors is easiest. We'd just tell Josh what color to pick and he'd go to town...Andrew, on the other hand, keep picking green blueberries and red blackberries. Oh-well! He had lots of fun anyway! We came home and made muffins with our blueberries! Yummy!

Andrew got creative and decided to pick other things...i.e. pine cones and grass.

Relaxing Week

Well, this week has been a rather uneventful one. But uneventful is nice sometimes! We stayed home and played, went to the park across the street, and swam in the backyard. We also played the wii,
Josh decided that he didn't like wearing pull-ups and has been wearing underwear 24/7 (he loves to dress himself...but the underwear always seem to get put on backwards!!),
we bought a real BBQ grill and tried it out tonight and it produced some pretty tasty chicken,
and lastly we finished the patio! I can almost say that our yard is completely done! Yeah!
