They are renovating the park across the street, and Luke sat and watched them for at least an hour today.

Andrew’s 5th b-day

Today was Andrew’s 5th birthday! 

He woke up early to eat chocolate waffles and open his presents.

He got a transformer, 2 games, Phineas and Ferb toys, and a Lego set.

We ran bunches of errands, and I had to get ready for scouts, but he enjoyed playing with his new toys and being the “king”.

For dinner he wanted hamburgers, so we grabbed some at Dairy Queen.

We had cupcakes, and he blew out candles.

Update

Well, it’s been 3 weeks since we had our sweet baby boy. 

Ironically today, I would have been 20 weeks pregnant.

But yes.  The baby was a boy. 

We only know how to make those.

I feel lucky we were able to find out.

It’s just one of the many tender mercies we’ve seen.

Despite difficult things, Heavenly Father still loves us and blesses us daily.

That we are sure of.

It’s been 3 weeks.

Our emotions aren’t quite as raw.

And healing is taking place, but it’s still not easy.

Sometimes it all feels like a dream and other times so real.

But slowly the good days are taking over the bad ones.

And there is hope.

10 year class reunion

Last weekend I went to Oklahoma by myself to attend my 10 year high school reunion.

I left on Thursday Sept 9 and got back Monday Sept 13.
I spent lots of time with my old friends from home and saw my parents a little too.
We went to lunch, out for ice cream and spent lots of time chatting and catching up.
The actual reunion was on Saturday night, and it was fun to see people I hadn't seen in nearly 10 years.

My kids love to look for slug bugs in the van when we are driving around town.
Somewhere along the way they decided they don't like PT Cruisers.
They growl at them when they see them.
Well, my friend's dad owns a PT Cruiser, and we drove it to the reunion. I had to take a picture cause I knew my kids would get a kick out of it!


Thanks girls for the great time! It was a blast! Hopefully we will be able to hook up this summer sometime!

Andrew’s First Day of Preschool

Tuesday was the first day of Andrew’s preschool co-op.

He was really nervous to go and said he had a tummy ache.

But it all went away once he got there.

He seemed pretty excited when I picked him up and told me every detail of his day!

First Day of School

Today was Josh’s first day of 1st grade.

My kids have been begging for chocolate waffles for months.

So today they got their wish. Darrin and Andrew walked him to school.

When we picked him up, he gave us every detail of his day.

He met one friend.

He has a mohawk.

nice.

He ate chicken nuggets for lunch with apples and pretzels.

He loved P.E. and recess.

And he liked the numbers game they played.

Overall it was a great day!

Although I do have to say, it was weird having him gone all day.
