Pregnancy Journal (39 weeks)

I want to remember…

  • The rumbling in my belly from all your movement.
  • Having to get up and go the bathroom at least once a night.
  • Cramps in my legs when I sleep.
  • A misshapen belly from your protruding body parts.
  • Your hiccups several times a day.
  • The healing power your life has had on me and how it’s made the past 3 years worth it.
  • Your crazy movements when I take a shower.
  • The way you kick the other kids when they sit on my lap.
  • My flattened belly button.
  • Swollen feet and hands.
  • Tums are usually a must once a day.
  • Tingling hands that sleep more than I do.
  • Wondering what you’ll look like and what your personality will be like.
  • Feeling so much joy and gratitude in my heart for your little body and life.

Dr. appointment yesterday.

Wide 2 cm 70%.

Caused regular contractions that lasted until I went to bed, then stopped.

Still waiting.  and waiting.

Last Days of School

Andrew’s last day of school was last Tues (6/12).  He had kindergarten graduation where his class sang some songs, got certificates, and had cookies and juice.  When Mrs. A handed the kids their certificates she told us what they wanted to be when they grow up.  Andrew said, “a professional soccer player!”

Well done Andrew for a great year!

Josh’s last day was the next day (6/13).  He also had a great year and can’t wait to go to the 3rd grade, which he keeps reminding us…3rd grade classrooms are upstairs.  Whoa!  We’re big time now!

Pregnancy Journal (38 weeks)

Well, I went to the dr. yesterday.

I was still measuring 36 and didn’t gain any weight.

She stripped my membranes and checked me.  It did cause several hours of painful cramps/contractions, but nothing regular.  The seem to have stopped now.  I was not even a 2 and 50%.  Pretty depressing if you ask me.

I’m having a dilemma.  I’m loving being pregnant and would rather not wish it away.  But you see, my sister is getting married June 30, and I really, really want to go.  So that’s making me antsy.

She sent me today to go get an ultrasound to make sure the baby is growing.  Everything looked great: my fluid levels, baby’s growth (estimated at 7 pounds), and head is down and low.  And it’s STILL a girl!!!!  It was so nice to have that confirmed!  Now I’m sitting here taking all the tags off things and washing everything!  Saturday we bought a dresser, and it’s all put together ready to go.  Hopefully the crib will go up tomorrow!

Lately

Lots of other little things have been happening lately…

Andrew finally mastered the two wheeler!  He learned at the end of the summer last year, but has been too scared to try since then.  I finally forced him to try again, and he got on and rode away!  Now he begs to ride every minute of every day!

On June 1, the boys school had their annual Wolf Walk fundraiser.  Luke and I helped out all day.  I took pics of Andrew, but I busy walking with Josh’s grade so forgot to take pics of him.  It was so muggy that day I about died!  I had to come home and take a cold shower to cool off!  I’m so not used to muggy anymore!

This past Friday night was the Father and Son’s campout.  The weather was chilly, but they still had a blast!  Too bad, I forgot to send the camera with them!  Oh-well.  I enjoyed a pedicure and dinner at Panera then hung out with friends until midnight.  I haven’t laughed that hard in a LONG time!  It was a blast :)

This week is the last couple days of school, and we’re holding our breath as to when this baby will actually come!  CAN’T WAIT!!!

Spring Soccer 2012

This is the first year we enrolled our kids in spring soccer.  They loved it and have improved a ton since the fall.  It might be because they play soccer all. the. time.  In the house, backyard, and at the park!  It’s EVERYWHERE!

Here’s a rundown of how the season went!

Josh

Team name: Firehawks

Coach: Dad

Teammates: Cayden, Keegan, Henry, Andy, Payton, Tommy, Joe, and Tyler B.

Record: Won at least one game!

End of the year party: Burgerville

Interesting fact: Josh drank pickle juice faithfully before each game.  He must really think it works, cause he doesn’t even like pickles!

Andrew

Team name: Brown Dragons

Coach: Coach Todd

Record: Won several games.  The team played micro soccer where the team was split into two teams and then each played half of the other team at the same time.  At a couple of the games, Coach had to tell Andrew to lay off on the scoring b/c they were getting too far ahead.  Andrew got to be pretty good and was one of the better players on the team.

End of the year party: Papa’s Pizza

Interesting fact: At the team party we found out Andrew’s coach is LDS and in our stake!  We had no idea the whole season!

Preschool End.

In May Luke had his last day of preschool and party.  He ended up having a great year, despite not really wanting to go at the beginning of the year!  I think the highlight of the whole year was learning about Farm Animals at Cameron’s house and going on a tractor ride!  He still talks about it!

During the last couple months we went on a few fieldtrips as well.

Chevy’s on April 5th:

Thanks for a great preschool year everyone!!  Can’t believe I’ll be starting my 6th year consecutive year next year!  Then I get a break :)

Pregnancy Journal (37 weeks)

16 days!!  Yikes!

Such mixed emotions right now!  Part of me is so excited to have and meet this little one.  another part of me is anxious of the unknown.  and another part is sad that this pregnancy is almost over.

I’m still feeling great.  I did get the wrist braces for my carpal tunnel, and they are doing wonders!  I mostly wear them at night, and I’m fine the rest of the day.  Only lately have my hands been bugging me during the day too.

This week I started walking (waddling) in the mornings with a friend.  Anything to help this baby come on time or a little early :)!

I went to the dr. yesterday and it was quite uneventful.  I’m measuring 36 and gained 4 pounds…up to 33 pounds.  I don’t think I’ve ever gained this much before, but I’ve never been this swollen before either.  So I’m hoping it’s all water!  The dr. didn’t check me, but said she would next week along with stripping my membranes (which is what put me into labor with Luke).  Next Wednesday is the last day of school for my kids, so I’m good to go into labor anytime after that!

This little one is still pretty active, despite the lack of room in my belly now.  She’s always squirming and stretching around.  She gets the hiccups all. the. time.  Some of my kids have had them in utero more than others…I think Josh and this one have had them the most.  I wonder what causes some to have them and some to not??

Last Thursday (5/31) my amazing friends threw me a baby shower!  I got so. much. stuff!  We ate yummy, yummy food and chatted.  It was so fun!  Now all the clothes are in my living room in piles, sorted by size, waiting for a dresser to be purchased, so I can put them away.  Hopefully that will happen this weekend!  Thanks girls for a wonderful night!
