Broken or just bruised??
Yesterday Darrin and boys were playing ball in the house, and somehow Andrew fell into the wall landing on his nose. His nose on the right side next to his eye is black, blue, and swollen. (If you click on the pictures you can see it better...) Can kids this young break their nose? I didn't really think they could, so I didn't take him to the doctor today. But I'm more worried about it now, and I think I'll at least call the advice nurse tomorrow. What do you guys think?

I would guess that the cartilage is still very young and pliable. It looks like it was rather high up on this nose however. His bruising is very small and minimal. I would totally be shocked if it's broken, but you can always ask, then you'll feel better and will know you took every precaution.

The guessing game with children never ends, does it? I'd call and ask just to make sure. He sure looks happy still though!
