I received a new calling on Sunday...it was a calling I knew would come eventually. I am a mother of 3 boys, so scouting is undoubtedly in my future...but never in my wildest dreams did I think I would get into it this soon. I am the new Webelos Leader in our ward. Do I know how to build fires, tie knots, and lead a flag ceremony?? No, but I'm willing to give it my all, and I know the Lord will make up the difference! As I put on my nice yellow scout shirt last night to go to my first den meeting, I couldn't help remember the movie Troop Beverly Hills starring Shelley Long. She was disgusted by the 'wilderness girl' uniform that she had to wear as a leader, so she had someone redesign the uniform to look classy and flattering...to bad I can't do that! And, no, I didn't just gain 30 pounds... it's just the shirt!

I cannot tell you haw excited I am that someone else knows the movie "Troop Beverly Hills" I thought it was just my family!!! We love that movie and still quote it often....congrats on the new calling, you'll do great!
this seriously cracks me up kim! and i know that movie too....we could have a girls night making your shirt fancy if you want. eh??? i can already hear your 'oh please girls, make my shirt fancy'. okay kim, we will. perhaps some ruffles on the bum? or some tassles? the possibilities are endless... :)
I won't even begin to say what one calling i really don't want. But you are going to be amazing, everything you do is amazing.

ooooohhh KIM. Good luck. If you ever need to unload, I will TOTALLY feel your pain. Just make sure you find a helper before we start coming to the ward. Maybe I should avoid the ward for a few more weeks, just in case!!!
