This past weekend was our ward’s fathers and sons campout.
The boys (J & A) were sooooo excited to go and spend time with dad.
L stayed with me and hung with the ladies at ladies night.
Josh and Andrew were set this year on going fishing.
Darrin told them that in order to go fishing, they were going to have to eat what they caught.
Josh caught 2 fish.
Andrew caught 1. The kids had a blast and didn’t come home until 5pm the next day.
Sunday Darrin held true to his word and grilled up the fish for lunch.
I was not about to have fish for mother’s day dinner.
Keep in mind Darrin and I are NOT big fans of fish…especially trout.
And Luke was very intrigued.
Andrew ate most of his fish.
Josh choked down a couple bites.
Darrin tried with all his might to like it,
but failed and had the willies the rest of the day.
I tried
some one bite for good measure.
And to this day I still smell fish whenever I go in the kitchen.
Ick!
But they had fun and definitely made some memories.
And that’s what is important.

So funny! Jeff hates fish too and would have the same experiece if I ever cooked it.
You've got some great father-son campout nights ahead of you. Corbin went this year, and it was great. I always have such fond memories of this campout because of ladies night! You didn't tell us what you did.
Awesome! You are a much better parent than I...way to make the sacrifice for memories sake!
