Camping Trip #2

The weekend of July 16-17 we went camping at Cape Look Out which is right on the coast.

We tried out tin foil dinners for dinner, and they turned out super yummy.

After hot chocolate and breakfast, we went over to the beach to play in the sand.IMG_3018  IMG_3021 IMG_3024 IMG_3027 IMG_3028

We stopped at the cheese factory on the way home and got ice cream.

Yum.

We got home and started putting all the camping stuff away.  The door into the house from the garage often gets left open, so we can go in and out easily.

After awhile I sat down to take a rest in the garage, and low and behold, here comes a bird that flies directly in the house.

The poor bird flew straight up to the window way above our front door.  He was trying desperately to get out.  He just kept flying into the window over and over.

Darrin went in the garage and got his big painting stick and tried to knock him out of the window.  Eventually it worked and the bird flew down and right out the garage door where he came in.

It was pretty exciting there for a while.

Now when the kids leave the door open, I can tell them to shut it or else the birds will fly in.

you are camping pros! As a kid we had lots of birds fly down our chimney, same deal!

Do you remember the bird that flew in the back door on Kings Circle? I think I was also pregnant with someone! It WAS very stressful. All I could think of was that the bird was going to poop on everything and I'D have to clean it up! hahaha
