My how you’ve grown this month!

Here’s some things I want to remember about this age.

• You take great naps during the day.  3 of them to be exact.  You go to bed between 7 and 7:30pm and wake up around 7am.  You do wake up at least once to eat, and I’m trying to cherish every minute of it. 
• You’re becoming a very distracted nurser and prefer the bottle I’m sure, although we are still doing half and half.
• You are very interested in everything we are eating!  I’ve given you pieces of muffin and Rice Krispy's.  You’ve sucked on a carrot stick and an apple slice.  And you always cry when we take them away from you.  We did give you rice cereal a couple days ago for the first time.  You loved it, and I didn’t expect anything less.  I knew it was time to start cereal when you lunged at my pork chop bound and determined to get a bite.
• A couple weeks ago you went through a phase where you wanted so badly to suck on your thumb at the same time you were nursing.  I thought it was hilarious!  You’ve stopped doing it for the most part, but it still cracks me up when I think about it.
• You’re still pretty stationary for the most part.  You don’t sit up or crawl or even roll.  You don’t seem to have much interest in doing any of those things, which is totally fine with me.  You still don’t bare any weight on your legs which is so different than our other kids, and I’m still not used to it.
• You are very unsure around people you don’t know.  If a stranger even talks or looks at you for that matter, you start breathing heavy, stick out your lip, and start crying.  Luckily you love mom AND dad :)
• A couple Sunday’s ago it was your dad’s turn to conduct in Sacrament Meeting, and we were sitting on the first row like usual.  He stood up and began and you gave him the biggest smile ever.  You recognized him and his voice clear down on the front row.  It was very cute and melted my heart.  I wondered if your dad had seen you, and he later made the comment that it was sure hard to conduct with you smiling so big at him.  I think you melted his heart too :)
