Dinner before we left. Gotta clean out the fridge somehow!
The basket of junk food that we took on the trip to keep us busy. A little much? I think so.
We left on Friday, June 28th. The traffic was so bad in Portland when we left that it took us two hours to get out of the city. Ella fell asleep and woke up before we even got out. I could tell it was going to be a long drive.
Givin’ her dolly some loves on the road.
We got there on Saturday afternoon. And, boy, were we glad!
Ella opened her birthday presents from Grandma and Grandpa H.
Grandpa's Mickey Mouse pancakes are a big tradition in this family. Ella got to have her first one ever.
And this boy accidently dumped tons of powdered sugar on his pancake. Not so sure how much of an accident it was…
Sunday was Aunt Kristin’s b-day, so she came out so we could celebrate with her. My parents happened to be in Utah and surprised her by showing up at the Hancock’s as well.
Our kids are obsessed with Studio C. Luke is Aunt Kristin’s shoulder angel.
Happy B-day Aunt Kristin!
Tastes of a first popsicle with Grandma M.
Reading books with Grandpa. We’re glad we could see G and G Morris while we were there. It was such a treat!
Hangin’ out with cousins!
Darrin, Chad, and Trevor playing Agricola on the Ipad.
Darrin won the game for the first time ever against Chad.
I’m so proud.
Tuesday we took the kids swimming. It was Ella’s first time. She’s a fan. Aunt Kristin came too. It was nice to have an extra adult.
After a quick dinner we took the kids to see Monster’s University. Great movie!!
The whole trip our kids and their cousins were obsessed with Beanie Boos. They played with them none stop.
On Wed. we went to SLC to hit up a family favorite: Chuck a Rama. lol. Then we went to Costco to stock up on food for the 4th of July.
The next day was the big 5K that Darrin and Josh ran with several other members of the family.
Josh did great in his first race. And I think he enjoyed it. He said he couldn’t have done it without his dad’s support which I thought was cute! So true though.
Cute girl at the parade.
After the parade we went to the park to check out the booths and see how well Darrin and Josh did in the race. Aunt Kristin came with us and we even got Hawaiian Shaved Ice as a treat.
FIREWORKS!! Instead of going somewhere to watch them, we decided to have our own show. All the pyros were in heaven. Luke and Andrew were in the house as usual. lol.
We bought tons of glow sticks and the kids had tons of fun playing with them. We got some cool pics in the dark.
Friday we went to Lagoon.
Ella liked sitting on the carousal before it started, but after that she wasn’t too sure about it.
Amusement parks are hard work. She actually slept for over an hour like this. So unheard of with our other kids.
The older boys had so. much. fun. hanging out with their older cousins and going on crazy rides.
I love how these older cousins love and pay attention to their younger cousins.
Darrin’s better judgment left him for a bit and let Luke win this little guy. I was afraid to ask how much it cost.
On Saturday we took the kids to Despicable Me 2. I loved it and so did the kids. Go see it. That evening we had a b-day party for Darrin’s mom.
Sunday we left after church to head home.
We had such a great trip seeing family. We are grateful for you all!!
Oh and Ella started crawling while we were there. It’s awesome. Now she gets into everything.
And this is what we looked like when we got back. lol.
