Ella--today you turned 4 months!
And we just love you to pieces!
I’ve definitely got your sleep back on track. You sleep at night and take all your naps in your crib (except when you fall asleep in the car). I wrap you up, lay you down, and you go to sleep. Sometimes you cry for a little bit, but you know how to self sooth and fall asleep on your own. You take 3 to 4 naps depending on how early you woke up.
You very rarely fall asleep nursing which in the long run is probably good, but I cherish it when you do.
Yesterday you rolled over, back to front, for the first time. Once on your stomach you HATED it, but it made for a cool trick.
You prefer to be held, but if we put you down, your mobile will entertain you the longest.
You are a pro at the bottle…which I love :) I think you are kinda picky with the type you have though.
You nurse more frequently now for some reason. You’re lucky to make it to two hours. And sometimes I’m afraid you’re still hungry after you’ve nursed. You’ll be super fussy after I feed you. If I offer you a bottle you’ll drink it all up and are usually more content after. So right now, we’re doing the half nursing supplementing with formula game. I’m happy with it. It works for us.
I was tempted yesterday to buy you some rice cereal to see if that would help, but I’m not ready to have really poopy diapers yet. I want to hang on to baby poop as long as possible!!
I’m anxious to see how much you weigh. You feel like such a lightweight compared to the boys! You’re appointment is on Monday, so we’ll find out then!

Update: At Ella’s 4 month appointment she weighed 14 pounds 8 ounces and was 25.2 inches long.
