In May Luke turned 5. We had a super busy day on his birthday, but we made the most of it. He got up early to open his presents first thing. He got a pillow pet, Magformers, as well as other stuff I can’t remember now :)
Then we had preschool at our house. The lesson was about frogs so we had frog cupcakes with his school friends to celebrate. After school we ran the usual Thursday taxi service of driving kids everywhere. And for dinner we had Panda Express.
Once we got home we sang to him and had more cupcakes.
On Saturday May 11th, he had a birthday party. Luke wanted a space party, so we did our best to play space themed games. We started with duck, duck, alien. lol.
Then the kids shot the aliens with a nerf gun.
Then the kids threw these comets at the solar system to see how many points they could get.
We had a space ship cake with the new cool whip frosting (yum!).
After cake we did a rocket ship piñata.
For the finale, we took the kids to the school to launch off some real rockets. It was really loud, but cool. Unfortunately the first rocket landed on the roof of the school. And Ella hated the sound and cried for 15 minutes after.
Overall, a great party!
Hope you had a great birthday Luke!! Love you!
