1. We MOVED—Our most exciting news of the year is that we moved to a bigger house the first part of July. In late March I found a house in our same neighborhood that was at the perfect price and size for our family. After a little lot of convincing, I finally talked Darrin in to it. We sold our house in 3 days, and the rest is history. We love the extra space!!
2. Hancock Family Reunion—A couple days after we moved into our house, we left for the Hancock Family Reunion held in Park City, UT. We enjoyed a great week of Lagoon, Boondocks, swimming, games, food, and memories galore. What a blessing it was.
3. Remembering Katie—On July 24,2014, our niece (15) was killed in a car accident in Eagle Mountain, UT. With saddened hearts, we jumped back in the van and again drove to Utah after being home only about 2 weeks. We were glad to be with family to celebrate Katie’s life and the example she was to us.
4. Oklahoma for Thanksgiving—We were able to fly to Oklahoma for Thanksgiving. The whole Morris family was together and what a fun trip we had! Our kids were great on the airplane, and Darrin and I were feeling as if we had “arrived” with no stroller, baby food, and bottles on the airplane. We are undoubtedly entering a new phase of life!
5. Mom Vacations—I was able to take two trips sans kids this year! The first was to Houston to visit my sister, Natalie, and her new baby, Blake. Then in August I went to Atlanta for my little brother’s wedding. We stayed on a houseboat and enjoyed everything about the lake and its surroundings. A huge THANKS to Darrin for holding down the fort while I was gone. J
