4/24-5/3
On Blake’s first birthday Natalie and Blake flew into town from California.
We had a pretty busy evening with Bingo Night going on, so we left them to recover from their long day of traveling.
On Saturday, Blake and Natalie came to watch Luke and Josh’s soccer games (Andrew’s was too early). Unfortunately Josh didn’t get to play because the other team didn’t show up. He was SUPER bummed he couldn’t show off his mad skills to his Aunt.
We celebrated Blake’s birthday after a yummy dinner of steak and rice.
Then he opened a few presents.
Our kids loved having a baby to spoil all week long.
One day after school we went to the park. Luke pushed Blake in the swing,
and everyone had to take a turn going down the slide with him.
Another day we took Ella and Blake to the Children’s Museum. Ella loved it!!! And I think Blake had fun too, but she was much more vocal about it :)
Some other things we did were SHOP! We went to Fred Meyer, Costco, Kohl’s, and Target throughout the course of the week.
And we went to Noodles and Company for lunch one day.
We had so much fun during the week and wish they lived closer!
By the end of their trip, Blake liked me 75% of the time. That’s progress!
All during the same week, we got our house painted. We had to have someone come replace this board under our back door due to dry rot.
Painting in progress…
Darrin and I were able to sneak of to Lowe’s one night to look at new light fixtures and hardware for the door. Those decisions were way harder to make than they needed to be.
We are super pleased with the final product!
