3/20—We started off our spring break with Josh receiving the Priesthood. It was very special, and I could see in no other way the wisdom our Heavenly Father has to entrust 12 years with the power of God. So proud of this boy!
On a whim we decided to head to Mt. Hood with our friends, the Smiths. We got a condo together and had lots of fun playing in the snow, skiing, and playing games. We drove up there after church on Sunday.
3/21—Monday we woke up and got right out in the snow! The kids were in heaven sledding, tubing, and building igloos.
After lunch we drove up to Timberline Lodge and walked around. It’s a pretty weird building with a lot of history.
Then we got in the hot tub. It’s always strange to be swimming with snow on the ground. The kids love putting snow and ice in the water and watching it melt.
3/22—Tuesday, Darrin and Mike went skiing. The kids and the moms stayed around the house playing games, more sledding, and maybe a little screen time. lol.
3/23—After we checked out of the house on Wednesday we decided to take the kids skiing. Andrew and Josh had done it before and did not look back on the experience with fondness. Darrin loves to ski, so it really bothers him that both of them think they hate it. We took them to a place for beginners, hooked them up with a lesson, and when that was over, we headed to the mountain hill. I have been skiing a handful of times and kinda wanted to try my hand at it again, so I took the lesson with the kids and then helped them ski. We decided maybe that wasn’t the best idea, because once we got up there, it was the blind leading the blind. lol. Josh picked it up rather quickly and went down on his own over and over. Andrew still struggled and only made it down once. Luke finally got it about the 3rd time but had a positive experience over all. 2/3 isn’t bad I guess!
3/24—I took the kids to the park to play basketball. This tree was there, and I couldn’t help but admire it’s beauty. I love spring!
Luke and Ella had fun playing together while the other kids played basketball.
3/25--We had our annual neighborhood Easter egg hunt.
Jump!
3/26—Grandma and Grandpa Morris are on coming today! We dyed eggs while we were waiting. It was strange to sit back and let the kids do this. They needed hardly any help. It was so different just a few years ago. We still had the obligatory spill by Andrew though. Can’t dye eggs without at least one spill!
