My little Luke is 9 1/2 months old. Man how time flies! It's been a while since I've journaled (is that a word?) anything about him, and he's changed so much in the last couple months. So here's the latest!
- Up until the middle of January, we had been trying to get Luke to take a bottle. We'd fill it up with Enfamil formula and shove it into his mouth hoping this time he would like it. He usually never did. One day, the thought came to me to try a different brand of formula. So we borrowed some Similac from a friend....and guess what?!? He liked it and drink it all!!!! That was the end of nursing for Luke. I pumped what I had left and now he's almost completely weaned...except for the 5:45am "feeding"...which I'm pretty sure is more of a habit than a feeding. Oh well, I'm up that early to go to the gym anyway, and all that matters to me is that I sleep through the night not necessarily Luke. I love nursing, but I also love being done with it. I have my body and my life back! (Luckily he did switch to the Kirkland brand of formula without any trouble.)
- Luke is the biggest mama's boy I've ever met. If I'm in the room, he wants no one else but me. If I'm not around, he's okay with Darrin, but no one else. Usually when we get a baby-sitter, he's in bed, but in the last week or two we left him once with Brittany and once with Kristen and he's pretty much cried the whole time. Sorry=)!
- Luke goes to bed anywhere between 6-8pm and sleeps until 7-9am, but don't forget his 5:45am "feeding." He usually takes two naps a day that range from 1-2 hours. He loves to sleep on his stomach and rarely sleeps on his back.
- Luke ended up skipping baby food and went straight to real food. He loves crackers, fruit, toast, hot dogs, and anything with cheese ie. grilled cheese, quesadillas, etc. He hates veggies.
- In December Luke learned how to army crawl and that's been his mode of transportation since then. Just recently he's started crawling for real, but doesn't do it all time. He can pull himself up to his knees, but has a hard time getting up on his feet unless you help him. Once he's on his feet he can stand for along time.
- I took Luke to the doctor for his 9 month check and here were the stats: Weight--20 pounds 4 oz. 46th percentile (my lightest baby yet), Height--30 1/2 inches 95th percentile, Head--44cm 14th percentile. So overall, he's tall and has a little head!
In the clip Luke is saying "dada" for the first time. He's also waving at me.

He is the cutest thing!! It's so funny he sleeps on his stomach...didn't you have that issue with Andrew too??
It's so fun hearing about you guys. Love the cute pics.
So cute!! Maybe #3's love their mommas, because Sabrina is still a big time momma's girl. It seems like he was just born, I can't believe he's so big already! Better come to Oklahoma so we can meet him before he gets any bigger!
