Instructions and date night

9/30—Ella had preschool.  She has grown to love her friends and asks every morning for Brynne or Katie.

While she was gone I helped count Wolf Walk money and had great conversations with Ellen.

When the boys got home, I helped Andrew with his homework.  His homework this year is very real life.  He gets a a list of things to do every quarter.  One of the requirements on the list is to read the instructions for a project and then complete the project.  Grandma and Grandpa Hancock gave him the perfect gift for his birthday to do this: a race car with a propeller that you have to assemble.  Now if you know me, you know that reading instructions and putting something together is not my favorite thing, but we stuck to it and when we got done and turned it on, IT ACTUALLY WORKED!  I was excited and so proud of us!

Later, Darrin and I went to ward temple night.  There was a chapel session and then I continued working on the temple work that Katie (our niece who was killed in July) started.  It was sacred and special to work on something she did just 2 weeks before she died.  It was a beautiful night and a blessing to be in the temple.

The night was topped off by dinner at Applebee's with my main man.  I love him.
