7/9—We got home from UT to find the first of our green beans starting to grow. YUM! Definitely my garden fav. And lucky for me, no one else likes them! So I got to eat every last one!
7/10—The weather wasn’t as hot so I made the kids walk to a park about a mile away. We brought along our neighbor, Richard.
Boys+water+rocks=hours of fun
We brought a picnic lunch, played on the playground and hiked around the park. It was the perfect outing.
7/12—We had the Smith’s over for dinner. The kids had fun making iMovies together…costumes and all. It was cute to see them work together so well!
7/16—Our ward campout was the night of the 17th, but this year we decided to go two nights. We got packed and ready and headed over there on the afternoon of the 16th. The airshow was going on that day so the kids were outside a lot watching that while I packed.
We made it to the coast and started setting up camp. We had two tents. One was for Luke and Andrew and the bigger one was for the rest of us. It worked out pretty well.
After we got things set up and ate dinner, we headed to the beach to check it out and watch the sunset.
Fire!
Darrin spent hours in the middle of the night taking pictures of the stars with our new camera. He even walked over to the beach at 2am by himself. Our computer now has about 300 pictures of the night’s sky on it. These are two of my favorites.
This one is taken from the beach looking at the campground.
We made a yummy pancake breakfast the next morning.
Then we headed over to the beach to play all day. The kids found these clear jellyfish things that were all over the beach. I swear they spent most of the day gathering and collecting them.
The weather couldn’t have been more wonderful!
We made tin foil dinners for dinner.
And the kids ran a muck while we prepped.
Around sunset we gathered with the rest of the ward for a bonfire on the beach and smores.
The sunset was breath taking that night.
The next day we loaded up camp and played a little more on the beach, but for the most part we were exhausted!
I’m grateful for time we were able to spend as a family enjoying God’s beautiful world!
