Andrew at the Dentist

At Andrew’s last teeth cleaning, his dentist discovered he had a cavity in one of his little molars that was 1/3 the size of the tooth.

Rather than do a root canal and a crown, we decided the best option would be to pull the baby tooth.

Andrew was such a trooper and handled everything like a champ!

They numbed his mouth…or if you ask his pediatric dentist…they put his tooth to sleep and then pulled it out.

He got to bring it home and tooth fairy came that night.

The next morning he woke up with a very swollen lip.

Our expert dentist friend said he must have chewed on it while it was numb.

It was pretty gross for awhile but got better after a couple days.

We go back to the dentist soon to get a spacer put in to maintain that space for when the permanent tooth comes in when he’s 9!
