July 5-9::Tooele

On Tuesday the 5th the kids swam in the backyard, and then we went to the canyon roast hot dogs and marshmallows.  The cousins had a great time playing on that old tree and throwing sticks in the fire.

On July 6th we took the kids swimming at the Tooele City Pool.  The kids love the indoor pool there.  Unfortunately we didn’t take any pictures!

July 7th Darrin’s parents got their mission call in the mail.  They were disappointed on Wed (the day before) when they didn’t get it, because apparently in Utah they usually arrive on Wednesdays, but because of the 4th of July it came on a Thursday!  They used all their willpower to wait to open it on the first day of the Hancock family reunion.

Later that afternoon we took the boys to the driving range.  It rained, but that didn’t stop us.

Darrin and I were able to go on a date that night.  We met our friends Kylene and Amen for dinner and while we were there we ran into Sarah and Cory who we knew from the Rock Creek Ward.  After dinner we went to see 17 Miracles.  Loved it. Go see it if you’re in Utah...actually I just heard it’s coming to Oregon!  GO SEE IT! Take some Kleenex though…you’ll need it.

July 8th I went and met Angela for breakfast.  We talked and ate and talked some more.  It was great to catch up, and I’m glad she made time to see me:)  We miss them tons in Oregon.  Right before I left for breakfast, Andrew lost his first “natural” tooth.  He was excited, but refused to put it under his pillow until we got home. While I was gone Luke had his make up done by 2 of his girl cousins.  He thought it was great!  For dinner we went to the park to eat and then came back to the house to play coquet.

July 9th We relaxed and then went to Applebees to celebrate my mother in law’s b-day.  Josh practiced “Happy Birthday” on the piano all day, so he was able to accompany us while we sang to Grandma!  He did a great job :)
