Day 2

Today started with a run of 2.25 miles at a 10:49 pace. Not too fast, I know. But I’m working on it. It was really cold (read: 37 degrees), and I was super glad I had my Hot Pants on. I’m not really sure they help me lose weight, but they do keep me warm on cold runs. Definitely worth it.

After the boys got out the door I set out to conquer the laundry which hadn’t been done in 8 eight days. The boys had to wear socks they hate and pants that were dirty, but I think they survived :)

Ella and I ran a couple errands before Luke got home: Kohl's to spend my Kohl's Cash where I bought this cool haunted house and to buy Luke dinosaur oatmeal that I can only find at Winco. I stocked up.

The walk to the bus stop was full of leaves. So fun to walk in and so pretty to look at.

After kinder I took Ella, Luke and Zach (the boy I watch 2 days a week) to Fred Meyer to pick up those couple things they were out of last night: broccoli and rotisserie chicken. We also picked up Nyquil and cough drops to help with Darrin’s man cold cold.  Love you babe :)

Luke got another X on his chart for using the barnyard (that’s what my boys call it) at school. I think we’ve turned a corner. YAY.

Zach and Luke played great the whole afternoon, and Ella took a much needed nap. I swear they played at the hall table with the Halloween décor for hours. Andrew joined them when he got home.

Josh has already learned and memorized one of his recital songs for piano. He plays “The Greatest Show on Earth” about 100 times a day and as loud as I can stand. It’s a circus song which fits in nicely around here. If you want to hear it, let me know and I can send you a video. Then you can listen to it 100 times a day too. Lol. No but really, I love that he loves to play the piano.

Homework and chores got done with minimal yelling. from me or the kids. lol. Go me.

Then it was on to soccer and dinner.

While I cooked, this little girl danced to the song that the magnetic car wash plays. She’s a hoot when she dances. And yes, I know I really should not let her sit like that. The physical therapist would not be happy.

Ella loves to sit at the computer and is often crying at the computer chair waiting for someone to lift her up. I love that she can’t climb yet. But she wishes she could.

After dinner was haircuts for the boys and baths and then on to bed.

I bought Andrew this new jacket that he thinks is a sweatshirt.  lol.  It’s all soft and cozy inside, but we learned a hard thing about it today.  If it gets thrown in the bark chips they don’t just shake off.  You have to pick them off one by one.  It’s annoying and next time he’ll pick them all off himself.  This is after I picked off as much as I could.  Has anyone discovered a better way?? Brush, comb, vacuum?  I may or may not have tried the vacuum.

I’m on my last load of laundry which I believe is the 9th load. Whoa that’s a lot. That doesn’t even include sheets that also need to be washed. It’s almost all put away except for the towels.

Today was a great day. Some days are not. I’m hoping to keep it real around here, just so you know. All of my days are not this good.

Day 2: check.

XOXOXOXO
